Die Euregio Lounge ist vom 12. bis 14. Juni 2026 Teil des CCT.square beim KIMIKO Campus Festival. Am Sonntag wird sie zum besonderen Treffpunkt für Europa vor Ort: Am 14. Juni 2026 von 13 bis 18 Uhr findet dort das Dreiländerfest 2026 statt. (English Version below)

Die AG Charlemagne Grenzregion, der Europäische Verbund für territoriale Zusammenarbeit Euregio Maas-Rhein (EVTZ EMR) und die Stadt Aachen bringen das Dreiländerfest 2026 aufs KIMIKO Campus Festival – und laden gemeinsam Projekte, Initiativen, Organisationen, Gebietskörperschaften und Akteur*innen aus der Euregio ein, sich zu beteiligen.

Konkret gibt es die Möglichkeit, als Aussteller*in beim Dreiländerfest dabei zu sein und die eigene Arbeit mitten im Festival sichtbar zu machen.

Wer gesucht wird

Eingeladen sind Akteur*innen aus Deutschland, Belgien und den Niederlanden, die grenzüberschreitend arbeiten oder die Euregio Maas-Rhein als gemeinsamen Lebens-, Bildungs-, Arbeits- und Begegnungsraum sichtbar machen wollen.

Das können Bildungs- und Austauschprojekte sein, Kulturinitiativen, Jugend- und Beteiligungsformate, Mobilitätsangebote, europäische Netzwerke, Projekte aus Verwaltung und Zivilgesellschaft oder Initiativen, die Menschen über Grenzen hinweg zusammenbringen.

Entscheidend ist nicht, möglichst viel zu erklären. Entscheidend ist, Besucher*innen schnell in Kontakt zu bringen.

Der Grundsatz für den Festivalrahmen lautet:

Nicht beschreiben, sondern erlebbar machen.

Warum das Dreiländerfest auf dem KIMIKO stattfindet

Das KIMIKO Campus Festival bringt vom 12. bis 14. Juni rund 15.000 Besucher_innen auf den Campus Melaten. Der Sonntag ist Familientag und richtet sich an ein besonders gemischtes Publikum: junge Menschen, Studierende, Familien, Nachbar_innen und Festivalbesucher*innen aus der Region.

Damit entsteht ein neuer Rahmen für das Dreiländerfest: niedrigschwellig, lebendig und mitten im Festivalgeschehen.

Euregionale Zusammenarbeit wird so nicht als Fachthema präsentiert, sondern als Teil eines offenen Kultur- und Zukunftsfestivals.

Welche Beiträge gut passen

Besonders geeignet sind Formate, die schnell verständlich sind und zum Mitmachen einladen:

Mitmachaktionen, kleine Spiele, interaktive Karten, kurze Gespräche, Mini-Workshops, Quizformate, persönliche Geschichten, Beteiligungsfragen, konkrete Informationen zu Bildungs-, Arbeits- und Begegnungsmöglichkeiten oder einfache Einstiege in euregionale Themen.

Der Stand sollte auch für Menschen funktionieren, die zufällig vorbeikommen und nicht aktiv nach Europathemen gesucht haben.

Genau darin liegt die Chance: Die Euregio erreicht hier neue Zielgruppen – jung, neugierig, festivalnah und offen für konkrete Möglichkeiten vor der eigenen Haustür.

Die Euregio Lounge als Rahmen

Die Euregio Lounge macht an allen drei Festivaltagen sichtbar, dass Aachen nicht am Rand liegt, sondern mitten in einem europäischen Zukunftsraum.

Im Fokus stehen Bildung, Beruf und Begegnung. Junge Menschen sollen grenzüberschreitende Lern-, Arbeits- und Lebensmöglichkeiten kennenlernen, ausprobieren und mit Akteur*innen aus den Nachbarländern ins Gespräch kommen.

Das Dreiländerfest am Sonntag ist der zentrale öffentliche Höhepunkt innerhalb dieses Rahmens.

The Euregio Lounge is part of the CCT.square at the KIMIKO Campus Festival from 12 to 14 June 2026. On Sunday, it becomes a special meeting point for Europe on site: on 14 June 2026, from 1 to 6 pm, the Dreiländerfest 2026 will take place there.

AG Charlemagne Grenzregion, the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation Euregio Meuse-Rhine (EGTC EMR) and the City of Aachen are bringing the Dreiländerfest 2026 to the KIMIKO Campus Festival – and are jointly inviting projects, initiatives, organisations, local authorities and actors from the Euregio to get involved.
Concretely, there is the opportunity to participate as an exhibitor at the Dreiländerfest and make your own work visible right in the heart of the festival.

Who we are looking for

Actors from Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands are invited – those who work across borders or who want to make the Euregio Meuse-Rhine visible as a shared space for living, learning, working and meeting.
This can include education and exchange projects, cultural initiatives, youth and participation formats, mobility offers, European networks, projects from public administration and civil society, or initiatives that bring people together across borders.
What matters is not explaining as much as possible. What matters is bringing visitors into contact quickly.
The guiding principle for the festival setting is:
Don’t describe – make it tangible.

Why the Dreiländerfest is taking place at KIMIKO

The KIMIKO Campus Festival brings around 15,000 visitors to Campus Melaten from 12 to 14 June. Sunday is Family Day and is aimed at a particularly mixed audience: young people, students, families, neighbours and festival-goers from the region.
This creates a new setting for the Dreiländerfest: low-threshold, vibrant and right in the midst of the festival atmosphere.
Euregional cooperation is thus presented not as a specialist topic, but as part of an open culture and future festival.

What kinds of contributions work well

Formats that are quickly understandable and invite participation are particularly suitable:
Hands-on activities, small games, interactive maps, short conversations, mini-workshops, quiz formats, personal stories, participation questions, concrete information on education, work and opportunities for exchange, or simple entry points into euregional topics.
The stand should also work for people who happen to walk by and were not actively looking for European topics.
That is precisely where the opportunity lies: the Euregio reaches new target groups here – young, curious, festival-oriented and open to concrete opportunities right on their doorstep.

The Euregio Lounge as a setting

The Euregio Lounge makes visible on all three festival days that Aachen is not on the periphery, but at the heart of a European space for the future.
The focus is on education, careers and exchange. Young people should get to know cross-border opportunities for learning, working and living, try them out, and enter into conversation with actors from the neighbouring countries.
The Dreiländerfest on Sunday is the central public highlight within this setting.
